Outlook sync is NOT supported in the current version yet. We will be making it available within the next two weeks.

I will post an update here when it have been released.

Topic: Family Support / Family/Friends set up issues

Please make sure that not only the event has Friends and Family view access, but also the calendar itself.

You can change view access for your calendar by going to more… > Share Calendars on the calendar menu and select Friends and Family next to the calendar you would like your sister to view events on.

She will then be able to view any event with Friends and Family view access, but NOT events with Family access.

Please let us know if this works.

I apologize the the delays you are experiencing. We are very aware of the speed issue. We will be releasing a new version of Famundo in the very near future which has corrected a number of factors that are causing the slowness.

Documents will only appear in the calendar sidebar when they are attached to an event AND that event is visibible in the current calendar view.

For all non-attached documents, your users can simply click on the Documents tab and open the folders.

My bad! I forgot that you are using the organizational version of Famundo. Members in the org version only have View rights, so there is no Setup for them. Only Users have Setup.

Members should have the same default view as the Public default view, but this is not the way it currently is. This will be fixed in a future release.

Each member can set up their own default view. After the log in

Go to Setup > My Settings > Calendar
Select the desired Defaut view
Click on Save

Please log in and try again. We discovered that there was a problem with the way that you named your calendars with a “comma”. We have removed the “commas” until we can find a way to resolve this from occurring again.

Topic: Family Support / Private Photos - Easier Sharing than via Email?

There is a hierarchy with our permissions. For example, if something has view access Parents only parents can view it. If something has Family view access, all family members, including parents, since they have more rights than children, can view it.

Similarly, since Family has more rights then Friends, both family and friends can view something that has Friends and Family view access.

To make your new calendar is visible, you need to check the checkbox next to the calendar on the left sidebar.

To schedule an event on that calendar, schedule an event and select your new calendar from the Display on drop down menu.

We have multiple layers of View access so you have total control over who can access things in your Famundo site. For most purposes, Family is the desired View access.

Friends is a special access permission, which allows people outside of your immediate family to view certain things on your site but not have permission to edit or delete.

We expect out next release to be available by the end of Q2, 2008

We are making this much easier in an upcoming release, so stay tuned.

One thing you can do today is to create a Friend Group which will allow them to view anything on your site which has View access set to Friends and Family

To do this
  1. Go to Setup > Family Settings > Friend Groups
  2. Enter a Login name, Name, and Password
  3. Click on Save

Send this information to the people you want to share with.
They can then login to see items with Friends and Family view access.

Each family member will automatically be assigned a color. You can change the colors by following these steps.

  1. Go to Setup > Family Settings > Family Members
  2. Click on the name of the family member and click on Edit
  3. Select the Display Settings tab and pick the color you want with the color-picker.

Occasionally our support team will ask you to add Support as a user to your Famundo site. This is will create a temporary user that will allow us to log in and troubleshoot any issues you might be having. You can delete Support as a user after we have resolved your issue.

To add Support as a user, please follow these steps:

Famundo for Families

Go to Setup > Family Settings
Click on Members
Click on Add > Add Member From Existing Famundo User
Login name = support (lower case)
User type = Parent(very important)

Famundo for Organizations

Go to Setup > Organization Settings
Click on Users
Click on Add > Add User From Existing Famundo User
Login name = support (lower case)
User type = Administrator(very important)

Hi April

We will be adding recurrences to our to-dos in a future release.

In the meantime, I would suggest scheduling your laundry as an “all day” recurring event on the day you normally do this. The reading time could actually be scheduled on your calendar as an event if you do it on the same time every night.

Topic: Sync Support / New Sync Users - PLEASE READ THIS FIRST

This is very important information when configuring the Famundo Outlook Sync Plugin.

There is a field on the Account tab labeled Username.

Please enter BOTH your Famundo site name AND your Famundo username separated by a space.

For example, if your Famundo site is myfamundo.famundo.com and your username is mikedoe, you will enter the following: myfamundo mikedoe (there is a space between the site name and the username)in the Username field.

I am trying to understand what is going on. Each “Family member” in your Famundo site has a color and an associated calendar. The “Family” also has a calendar and color.

If an event is scheduled for one of the family members, it should appear on both their calendar and the family calendar in that member’s color.

If an event is scheduled for the “Family”, it will appear on all calendars in the “Family” color.

If an event is scheduled for multiple Family members, it will appear on the family calendar, and their respective calendars in the “Family” color.

Please let me know if this is not happening for you and give me a specific example of what is happening.
