I can’t make the plug-in work – I have installed correctly and have famundo showing in outlook but the sync won’t work. I see nothing on my famundo calendar.
Help!

Hi,

I checked the sync logs and I noticed that you didn’t set up the Outlook plugin correctly. Here are the complete steps on how to do it http://help.famundo.com/help/items/configure_plugin
In the username field of the Account options please type in your Famundo account and your username (with a space between the account name and the username). Once you do that you should have the sync up and running.

Please check also your sync preferences in Famundo (steps are here http://help.famundo.com/help/items/configure_famundo_sync) so you set up properly where the events will land in Famundo.

OK, so I have read the account and user name directions, but really don’t understand what should be entered. Call me a newby to technology. Anyway the URL I see is: http://mochas-mob.famundo.com/calendars. From what I can tell then my account name is mochas-mob. What is the user name? same?

Sorry so lame, but I am missing something basic here.

Hi,

Don’t worry. Any question is a good question :) You’re correct regarding the account name
The user name is your login name (the one you use when you are prompted with for a login and password when you visit your Famundo account).

OK, so if my user name is mochas-mob, what is the account name? mochas-mob as well? If so, it isn’t working.

Hi,
Yes, I think you used the same name for both the account name and your login.
Your Outlook ync username is: mochas-mob mochas-mob
Please make sure you use the correct password.

It should work for you. Give it another try.
I’ve seen in the logs you tried it but I think the password was wrong.

Let us know if it’s not working. Please post the time when you tried to sync as it’s easier to find the sync logs.

OK, tried with what you put in above. Double checked PW and tried 2 more times. No luck. sorry for the delay between tries, out of town for weekend.

Hi,

I think I know what’s causing this problem. In the username area from Outlook (where you typed mochas-mob mochas-mob) please remove one of the space characters between the first mochas-mob and the second one. Currently you have 2 spaces there.

And give it one more try please.
I’m in PST timezone and online most of the time. :)

Well, it seems to by sync’ing, but I am not seeing anything when I look at my outlook calendar?

Please read these page with the steps on how to configure your sync settings in Famundo

http://help.famundo.com/help/items/configure_famundo_sync

and check that the calendar you wish to sync with Outlook is selected

SUCCESS!! in the details of the calendar details, the remote name was ‘scal’ and needed to be ‘fscal’. Added the ‘F’ and life is good. Thanks for all your help and patience! This is going to be awesome!
